No benefits***********Responsible for the operation of sonographic equipment and for performing and communicating result! s of diagnostic cardiac examinations. The sonographer may participate in training students, fellows, nurses in the area of cardiac ultrasound examination. The sonographer may participate with some research studies.
Position Requirements
Job Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Graduate of a program accredited by The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiolvascular Credentialing International (CCI). Must meet ARDMS or CCI requirements for registration. Minimum of 2 years experience in 2-D or 3-D echocardiography, Dobutamine, Stress Echoes, and Transesophageal Echo.
Must: (1) enter 4,000 keystrokes per hour; (2) possess basic knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.
Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree. Pediatric training/certification is preferred.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Required: ARDMS ! or CCI registered or registry eligible in Diagnostic Cardiac S! onography. Must obtain certification within fourteen (14) months of employment. Current CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
