Certified Surgical Technologist - Surgery - PRN - Various Shifts
The Certified Surgical Technolo! gist is an unlicensed member of the surgical team who scrubs and/or assists during surgical procedures. This position functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Certified Surgical Technologist provides direct and indirect patient care, for patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric by assisting in the preparation of the patient and environment for the performance of surgical procedures. It is the Certified Surgical Technologist's responsibility to know the Surgeon's routine and preferences.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
:
High school education (or equivalent)
Completion of Surgical Technology (NBSTSA) Program.
EXPERIENCE
:
New graduates accepted.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE
:
Current national certification (NBSTSA) as surgical technologist.
BLS required.
