The Department of Pediatric Dentistry, University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, invites applicants for a full-time research or researc! h-emphasis track, faculty position.
Position responsibilities predominantly include clinical and didactic teaching, research in patient-oriented and/or oral biological research discipline. Candidates will spend some of their time participating in the departments clinical and teaching missions, but the faculty member is expected to develop a research program in clinical or biological research.
Applicants must have a dental degree and have advanced training in pediatric dentistry, preferably with a MS, MPH, or PhD or equivalent degree and must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry. Candidates are expected to acquire external research funding over time. Participation in intramural faculty practice is available for persons with Alabama licensure. Excellent written and verbal English skills are required. The search will begin immediately and will end when the position is filled.
