Job Summary The Transplant/Vascular Nurse is a professional nurse who demonstrates a high level of competence in decision-making in the process of assessing, planning, implementing,! and evaluating preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperatively. They demonstrate a depth of knowledge and skill in the areas of circulating, scrubbing, sterile technique, anticipation, education, and research. The Transplant/Vascular Nurse is responsible for organizing the specialized intraoperative care for the patient undergoing transplant and vascular procedures. Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience ADN/Diploma nurse with a minimum of 4 years of pediatric O.R. experience post orientation, or 4 years full time Pediatric O.R. experience post orientation with Bachelor Degree, or Masters Degree with 3 or more years of Pediatric O.R. experience post orientation.
Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Current RN license in the State of Alabama. Current BCLS certification. Member of AORN and CNOR certification preferred.
