Infirmary Therapy Services has an opening for a Clerk, Clinical Support to be located at Thomas Hospital Out Patient Rehabilitation Services for adult and pediatric patients. This position will provide clinical and clerical support for routine therapy-related activities to facilitate optimum patient care and efficient department operations. The chosen candidate will greet patients, set up and break down treatment areas and assist therapists during treatment procedures. This position will be responsible for assisting the therapist in physical transfers of the patients and providing safety and guarding during walking and stair climbing and other therapy treatments.
They will also work directly with the therapist with wound care providing hands on assistance. This position will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment and ensuring inventory is appropriate for patient census. They will also be responsible for assisting with scheduling, contacting patients and completing clerical duties such as charges and ordering supplies. This person must possess an outgoing personality that clearly communicates with the patients, their families and the therapists.
This person must also demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work well with others. Position is 8 to 4:30, Monday through Friday with a possible weekend rotation in the acute care setting. American Heart Association CPR required.
