This classification is responsible for performing, checking accuracy and reporting results of routine and complex lab procedures on body tissues, fluids and other substances when received. Responsible for evaluating new instruments and/or methods,reagent preparation, quality control information, troubleshooting and equipment maintenance. In addition, may perform apheresis or coordinate the education, computer operations,quality control/quality improvement or supervisory function within a section. Follows all established policies and participates in educational programs. Responds to the unique needs of the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients as the need arises. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory or a related field required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Posting Salary Minimum 21.73 Posting Salary Maximum 34.77 Employment Status Full Time Benefit Eligible Shifts Night / 3rd Shift Licensure / Certifications Certification or eligible for certification as a Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Technologist from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) required.
