What you'll do

As a Perimeter Security Specialist, you’ll utilise your information security experience to assess and provide advice for the changes introduced to the infrastructure components, while playing a key role in a tool-based rule change management process.

You’ll be working at a domain level to understand and make sure robust security is continuously considered and incorporated at every stage throughout the development life cycle and through to support.

As well as this, you’ll be:

  • Making sure the security implications of the backlog are understood in the right way, building security early into the design
  • Collaborating with feature teams and participating in story refinement, sprint planning and retrospective sessions to establish a culture of innovation and strategic thinking
  • Assessing any developments in your area of specialism and communicating their impact on the wider bank

The skills you'll need

Not only will you be fluent in English and have great communication skills, but you'll need knowledge of virtualisation and network infrastructures, as well as experience in a large corporate environment. You'll also have worked with major networking solutions vendors, like Fortinet, Cisco and Checkpoint.

We're looking for someone with experience and knowledge of technology security controls within a security technology specialism. Experience with Skybox platform, or similar tools, for network mapping, rule set management and configuration compliance would be advantageous.

Furthermore, you'll bring:

  • The ability to write technical issues in business terms and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A good understanding of and a security focus on Cloud computing technologies
  • Knowledge of software-defined networking technologies and cybersecurity frameworks, like ISO, NIST and sogp
  • An understanding of Agile methodologies and LAN, WAN and VPN networking and firewalling experience
