An occupational therapist (OT) is responsible for providing assistance to patients who need help performing a wide variety of activities, especially daily needs (e.g., dressing, cooking, eating, driving, etc.) and motor skills. In addition, occupational therapy requires an OT to perform comprehensive at-home and job-site evaluations, and maintain an open line of communication with patientsâ family members and caregivers. They may have a number of specialties, including:
