Description: University of Alabama at Birmingham is at present looking to employ PEDIATRIC Infectious Diseases right now, this occupation will be placed in Alabama. Open Rank, Open Tenure: The Division of Infectious Diseases in theDepartment of Pediatrics is seeking applications from highly qualified M! .D.,M.D./Ph.D. or Ph.D. for faculty positions. The Division of Infectious Diseaseshas a long history of NIH supported laboratory and clinical research.The selected individuals will work collaboratively to expand current researchprograms as well as establish new areas of research in respiratory virusesand bacterial infections. These positions will be provided generous start-uppackages as well as secondary appointments in basic science departmentand Centers of Excellence at UAB to further the capacity of research ininfectious diseases at UAB. QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidates must have a successful record in research withcurrent NIH funding. In addition, the ideal candidates should possess:

Experience in the academic medical center setting
A proven track record of research initiation
Demonstrated research collaboration skills
