Description: University of Alabama at Birmingham is in need of Multiple Tenure Track/Tenured Faculty Positions right now, this vacancy will be designated in Alabama. UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM: T he UAB Department of Psychology is seeking applications for multiple tenure track/ten! ured faculty positions. All applicants should have postdoctoral experience and an established research program. Successful candidates will be provided a competitive startup package to support the growth of an active research program, and will also be expected to mentor graduate and undergraduate students and teach in his or her area of expertise.

The Psychology Department supports three doctoral programs - Behavioral Neuroscience, Lifespan Developmental, and Medical Clinical (APA accredited). Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: neural bases of normal and abnormal behavior; cognitive, language, and social development across the lifespan; childhood disorders including autism and ADHD; aging; obesity; pediatric psychology; behavioral medicine; rehabilitation; addiction; and behavioral genetics.

The Psychology Department has excellent research facilities and a long history of extramural research funding. The Department enjoys the benefits of UAB! ’s standing as a national center for biomedical health resea! rch and education, which provides rich opportunities for collaboration. Metropolitan Birmingham (population 1.2 million) is an ethnically diverse and cosmopolitan setting with a rich array of cultural institutions and a high quality of life.
