Description
Under general supervision plans, directs and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a partic! ular shift in accordance with established philosophy. Responsible for orientation and training of personnel. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records and updating of policies, procedures and skills of personnel.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Certificates / Licenses:
Current licensure with the
Alabama
Board of Nursing.
Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Maintain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
Current CCRN (Certification for Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal Critical Care Nurses) National Certification preferred.
Experience:
Prior acute-care experience preferred! , new graduates will be considered.
Must be highly mo! tivated and committed to a quality of care that emphasizes the patient first.
