Client is seeking a permanent full time experienced physical therapist or occupational therapist to join its outpatient clinic.

Implements, with minimal supervis! ion, high quality hand therapist services in accordance with the principals and practices of hand therapy, company policies and procedures and federal, state and local laws. Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications to patients. Supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care. Maintains positive level of interaction between facility and clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
: Plans, organizes, and conducts hand therapy programs to help rehabilitate those impaired because of illness or injury. : Evaluates and develops patients' plans of care in accordance with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and/or the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) standards of care. : Performs all treatment and re-evaluations in accordance with the AOTA/APTA standards of care, CMS guidelines and Physiotherapy policies. Responsible for the ! supervision and delegation of the treatment care for each pati! ent within the guideline of state and local rules and regulations. : Develops objective patient goals and establishes the type, frequency and duration of treatment in collaboration with the referring physician. Alters patients' programs as changes in the patients' status occur. : Ensures the timely completion of each patient's evaluation and progress letters to physicians and payor sources, case managers, etc. as appropriate. : Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for re-evaluation. Maintains ongoing documentation in which goals, progress toward functional goals, and medical necessity are clearly stated. : Communicates pertinent patient information to referring physicians, staff, employers, insurance carriers and rehabilitation specialists, in compliance with HIPAA rules. : Participates in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of manager and referring physicians. : Provides injured workers with guidelines for! job modification and energy conservation in accordance with physician. : Maintains ongoing documentation, as required. Ensures all patient care is being appropriately documented and maintained in compliance with professional, regulatory and Company standards. : Completes all required documentation (i.e. pre-certifications, physicians reports, daily notes, etc.) appropriately and in a timely manner in order to meet facility, physician and/or payor deadlines. : Oversees aides and assistants in providing quality patient care. : Adheres to all safety regulations and compliance with Medicare and other governmental agencies' standards. Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and Company policy. : Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION PREPARATION:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or! a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation ! of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Must be a graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy or physical therapy.

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
: Position requires a minimum of two (2) years job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Prior clinical experience a must. : Previous dedicated hand therapy experience is required. : Must be skilled in working with complex hand diagnoses/surgical/orthopedic/industrial/work-related injuries. : Minimum two years of adult rehabilitation experience; hand and splinting experience preferred. : Excellent clinical skills. : Strong understanding of state, federal and local regulations pertaining to outpatient rehabilitation. : Understanding of clinical documentation requirements for Medicare and other payors. : Work effectively as a team member. : Effective communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized verbal and written interactions with patients and co-workers ! : Good interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with physicians, therapists and patients. : Leadership and coaching skills to effectively direct and supervise the activities of assistants and aides in delivering quality care to patients. : Strong organizational, time management and planning skills. : Effective clinical problem solving skills (i.e. identify and prioritize issues in responsive manner, develop and execute innovative action plans, ensure appropriate results, etc.) : Proficient computer skills for effective management reporting including but not limited to billing, etc.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
: Clinical license as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist. State licensure/registration required where applicable. : CPR Certification required. : First Aid Certification preferred. : Certification by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) a plus. : CHT certification is a plus.
